Unable to come to terms with the brutal murder of his father, director Rafał Łysak embarks on a deeply personal and emotionally perilous journey to confront the young man responsible for the crime.
What begins as a search for peace and understanding gradually evolves into something far more complex and unsettling. As Rafał attempts to build a fragile and uneasy relationship with his father’s killer—now a young man struggling with guilt, freedom, and the realities of life after prison—the boundaries between victim and perpetrator begin to blur.
Through a series of tense and intimate encounters, both men are forced to confront difficult questions about responsibility, forgiveness, and the enduring consequences of violence. The film carefully examines the psychological and emotional burden of grief, revealing how profound loss can reshape identity, memory, and human relationships.

Rafał Łysak畢業於羅茲電影學院（Łódź Film School），並修畢瓦伊達電影學校（Wajda School）劇情片、編劇與紀錄片三項課程。他以紀錄片《Unconditional Love》初試啼聲，即榮獲多項國際影展肯定，包括波蘭克拉科夫影展金龍獎（Golden Lajkonik）、波茲南OFF Cinema影展與比亞維斯托克Zoobroffka影展雙料首獎，烏克蘭Molodist影展最佳紀錄片，以及中國IDF良渚國際紀錄片節「年度導演」獎。他的第二部紀錄片《The Beating Heart of Warsaw》，目前正於波蘭電視台VOD頻道播映中。
他也曾獲波蘭文化與國家遺產部頒發「Young Poland」獎助金，支持其紀錄片《Casting》的製作。此外，他亦執導多部劇情短片，目前正籌備首部劇情長片，該案並於馬佐夫舍與華沙電影基金（Mazovia Warsaw Film Fund）舉辦的劇本輔導競賽中拿下首獎。
Rafal Lysak is a graduate of the Łódź Film School and three courses at the Wajda School (fiction, screenwriting, and documentary). He made his debut with the documentary Unconditional Love, which won numerous festival awards, including the Golden Lajkonik at the Krakow Film Festival, the Grand Prix at the OFF Cinema Festival in Poznań and Zoobroffka in Białystok, Best Documentary at the Molodist Festival in Ukraine, and the 'Filmmaker of the Year' award at the IDF Lake International Documentary Festival in China. His second documentary, The Beating Heart of Warsaw, is currently airing on Polish Television's VOD channel. He is also a recipient of the 'Young Poland' grant awarded by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage to support the production of his documentary Casting. Additionally, he has created several short fiction films and is working on his feature debut, which won the top prize in the Script Mentoring competition organized by the Mazovian Film Fund.
